Best Dam BBQ Memorial Day Weekend

The Best Dam Barbecue Challenge kicks off next week for Memorial Day weekend in Boulder City!

Get ready for the Best Dam BBQ – Boulder City’s smokin’ hot Memorial Day Weekend tradition! Join the fun on Friday, May 23 & Saturday, May 24 for a family-friendly, fingerlickin’ good time! 🍖

Live music, delicious BBQ, vendors, and good vibes — and it’s FREE to attend!

There will be live music on Friday night, and of course, the Kidz Zone, the Best Dam Car Show, the Best Dam Bike Show, and plenty of beer, Bloody Marys, and barbecue to enjoy. Check out the vendor booths for delicious barbecue, kettle corn, shaved ice, nachos, funnel cakes, and other excellent festival food! On Friday afternoon, May 23rd, 2025, in Bicentennial Park (on Colorado Street, near City Hall) from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Then there’s another full day on Saturday, May 24th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, ending with the final awards ceremony of the winner of the Best Dam Barbecue Challenge! Admission is FREE to the event, so come on out and support the teams as they compete for $8500 in prizes. This is a state qualifier for the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue, a highly sought-after invite to one of the premier barbecue events in the United States. The event is judged by the Kansas City Barbecue Society, which professionally trains judges to select the best in each category: ribs, pork, brisket, chicken, and the overall competition winners.
