Inside Real Estate puts forth AI-powered home search platform
Inside Real Estate has released HomeSearch AI — a new search and client engagement platform designed to let users input natural language to find listings and help real estate professionals reengage dormant leads.
The platform incorporates technology from ListAssist — a company Inside Real Estate acquired earlier this year — along with features from BoomTown and BoldTrail, two firms previously brought into its ecosystem.
“AI is everywhere right now. It’s the headline, the feature, the buzzword. But AI tech needs to deliver more than buzz — it has to deliver results,” says Joe Skousen, CEO of Inside Real Estate.
HomeSearch AI allows homebuyers to search using conversational phrases instead of filters.
For example, users can type requests such as, “show me craftsman style homes in the Riverland neighborhood under $600k” or “I want granite countertops, a single-car garage, near coffee shops.”
“The system just gets it. It’s powered by natural language processing, computer vision, and MLS data, and the results reflect what the client meant, whether complex or simple,” Skousen says.
Lead reactivation tools
The platform also includes automated alerts and lead reactivation tools that draw on Inside Real Estate’s email distribution network — which sends more than 160 million search alerts each month.
“Every alert going out is smarter by default,” says Julia Laurin, the company’s chief product officer.
Laurin said the system uses BoldTrail technology to identify idle contacts in an agent’s CRM, generate property suggestions, and notify agents when a buyer or seller shows new interest.
“Every agent has leads sitting idle in their CRM. In BoldTrail, we find those contacts, create personalized property suggestions, and improve over time based on engagement,” she says.
Client feedback
Some early users report higher engagement levels from the tool.
“I’ve seen firsthand how BoldTrail HomeSearch AI has elevated both our client experience and agent productivity,” said Cory Kammerdiener, broker and founder of HomeRock Realty. “Our buyers love the intuitive, personalized home search that adapts to their preferences in real time, making their journey faster and more enjoyable.”
Inside Real Estate says the platform can also surface listings based on specific phrases, such as “assumable loans” or “back on market,” allowing buyers and agents to respond to local trends.
